Venue History

Virginia Credit Union LIVE! at Richmond Raceway has consistently been one of the top outdoor concert facilities in the Richmond region. With its rich history of hosting some of the best acts in the business, Virginia Credit Union LIVE! offers a superior concert experience to music fans. Its classic sound paired with the location in metro Richmond provides concert-goers with the ideal place to listen to some of their favorite artists.

This venue can host fully reserved shows or general admission featuring a larger open pit due to our removable seating option. Virginia Credit Union LIVE! provides a big concert atmosphere while providing the feel of an intimate show.

Throughout its history, Virginia Credit Union LIVE! has been the place to see top national recording artists such as Aerosmith, Sting, Jimmy Buffett, Dave Matthews Band, Van Halen, Bob Dylan, Hank Williams, Jr., Foo Fighters, James Taylor, Florida Georgia Line, T.I., Gucci Mane, Little Big Town, and The Lumineers. 

In 2017, the venue celebrated its 25th anniversary by forging a multi-year partnership with AEG Presents. The partnership brought new acts to the venue as well as continued the tradition of being the hub for outdoor concerts in Richmond. New acts include The Avett Brothers, Wu-Tang Clan, Cody Jinks, Glass Animals, Machine Gun Kelly, and Grammy winner Billy Strings.

Parking

Parking is located on-site in Lot D, which is the corner of Laburnum Avenue and Carolina Avenue. Concert-goers will be asked to enter through Gate 4 or Gate 6. RideShare (Uber/Lyft) drop off is located through gate 6 at 4200 Carolina Ave. 

There is no fee for parking.
